Financial Adviser Mike Wetzel has four daughters, and like any father, one day hoped that one of his girls would follow in his footsteps as a business owner and financial planner. Sarah Boston, his eldest, started in the industry as an intern while at IU’s Kelley School of Business. His youngest, Heidi Hargis, entered the industry while still in high school. Mike started calling Sarah & Heidi his “bookend” daughters, a moniker the girls were not fond of at first. After many years, and much patience, Mike’s dream was realized when the opportunity arose for all three to work together in the same practice. Today, the Bookends name not only represents the family values that are the core of the business, but also the comprehensive nature of their financial planning practice.
We believe that financial planning is about more than just numbers, it’s about people, families, and the communities we all call home. Giving back is a core part of who we are. Whether it’s supporting local nonprofits, sponsoring youth programs, or donating to causes doing good in the world, we’re proud to reinvest in the places that have supported us.
